Baubles Bazaar

A friend recently told us about Jennifer Elizabeth, a line of jewelry by New York-based designer Jennifer Amenta; when we saw all the pieces on the recently launched site, we also felt compelled to pass on the tip. These gorgeous vintage-inspired pieces are simply stunning – going from simply pretty to edgy romantic. Here are some of our favorites:

Ribbon necklaces (with metals and/or stones) will continue to be a trend through the next season and there are plenty to choose from at Jennifer Elizabeth. The Mixed Media necklace is one of our favorites with gorgeous vintage rhinestones and beaded chains. If you want to skip the rhinestones, go for the simplified Bollocks & Chains necklace. Both feature a luxurious satin green ribbon threaded through that’s oh-so-pretty. One of my favorites is the Wealth Aside necklace though. The pop of blue from the ribbon, threaded with vintage chains and stones, makes a bold statement without much effort.
If you’re just looking for glitz and glamour, then a bit of bling is perfect for you. This Miss Etiquette necklace has a vintage feel (after all, the pendant is made from a 40′s brooch), but definitely gets modern with multiple chains. The Queen Margaret necklace is also a fab choice. It’s totally regal and will make you look like you’re dripping in jewels.
For a bit more edge, I’m turning to the Rocks & Baubles collection. Though this collection still incorporates rhinestones and ribbons, you’ll find that these fall under the darker romantic category. Let’s start with Miss Edie. This necklace is wrapped heavily in the front with rhinestones and dupioni silk, but the gunmetal hue of the chain takes it to another level. Similarly, the Karen necklace has this amazing confetti chain, which creates this incredible edgy confection when combined with rhinstones and ribbon. Need a couple more suggestions? Go for this Bang Bang necklace – and maybe this multi-strand grey-toned bracelet.
