Color Yourself Beautiful
It’s almost shocking how much difference a good set of brushes can make to your overall look. They make foundation look more natural, blend eye shadows seamlessly, and help to create the perfect smokey eye. I always get a little overwhelmed when I’m shopping for brushes though – there are so many, I’m never quite sure what ones I really need. Luckily, Sephora came to my rescue (don’t they always?) with their new Color-Dipped Brush Collection. It’s made up of five different brushes that are all dual-ended, giving you two brushes for the price of one. They’re really cute too – the brightly colored bristles are so cheerful and fun and they look great sitting on top of my vanity. Here are the different brushes in the collection:
- Grab n’ Go Brush ($32) - This bright reddish-orange brush comes with an eyeshadow brush on one end and a powder brush on the other. (This is the one that I’ve been carrying in my bag during the day for quick touch ups).
- Perfect Complexion Brush ($35) – Bright pink, this one has both foundation and powder brushes to help you achieve the look of a flawless complexion.
- Every Day Eye Brush ($18) – This orange-colored brush gives you a shadow brush on one side with a shadow blender on the other.
- Smokey Eye Brush ($18) – A bright purple, this brush has a slant end for lining your eyes and a smudge end for outlining them and blending. (I love the smudge end – it works great with dark shadows when I’m trying to create a dramatic evening look).
- Winged Eye Brush ($18) – This light yellow brush has an eyeliner end and a shading and blending end.
If you’re looking to add to your brush collection, you really can’t go wrong with these. They’re high quality, easy to travel with (you can pack 5 brushes and really be taking 10), and reasonably priced. Pick yourself up a set at Sephora!
