Accessories, Fashion, Jewelry, Lust List, ShoesLust List: August 2009

ONE. Tiffany Keys Kaleidoscope Diamond Pendant — I love pretty much anything from Tiffany’s. Their jewelry is just so classic and timeless. All of their pieces are things that I would pass down from generation to generation and never get tired of wearing. Their newest collection, Tiffany Keys, has totally captured my attention – I’m dying to own one of the pendants. They’re available in a wide range of prices, but since I’m lusting here, the one I’d most like swinging around my neck is the Kaleidoscope Key Pendant. It’s a round kaleidoscope key pendant with marquise, square and round brilliant diamonds set in platinum. It’s gorgeous! I love the whimsical design and the unexpectedness of the different shapes of the diamonds. I also really like that it would look equally as good worn with a simple tank top and jeans or with my favorite little black dress for a night out. I might eventually treat myself to one of the more affordable Key Pendants, but since this one is $10,000, I’m pretty sure I’m just going to have to keep lusting after it from afar. - Stacey

TWO. Smythson Peppermint Travel Clutch with Removable Purse — Smythson of Bond St is one of my most favorite brands ever, always producing elegant and practical pieces perfect for travel or otherwise.  I have never regretted a Smythson purchase! I first laid eyes on this Travel Clutch a few months ago at a press preview and have not been able to stop thinking about it since! This roomy, versatile bag holds everything you may need for traveling (or your every day life) and the removable coin clutch doubles as a business card holder you can just drop into your purse. The peppermint color is bright and cheerful while the  ostrich print adds another little luxurious  detailing to an already gorgeous purse.   - Carolyn

THREE. Tod’s New D-Bag Piccola — I love love love all things Tod’s. My first major designer bag purchase was a Tod’s bag that I still own today (and rarely use due to excessive care). Tod’s makes such classic designs that are sophisticated and stylish without being old-fashioned or boring. Every girl needs a classic leather bag, so that’s why this month I’m coveting the D-Bag Piccola. It’s made of soft, pebbly leather, and I’m partial to the tan color. With Tod’s, you can really see the painstaking detail in every stitch. I love the elegant satchel shape of the bag that fits right under your shoulder, and the little ties on the side. I just love it all! - Nina

FOUR. Miu Miu Glitter Slingback Sandals — Normally, bling is not my style at all, but my eye was totally drawn to these Miu Miu glitter slingback sandals.  They are fun (without a hint of tackiness) with their shimmery champagne gold 5.5 inch heels, and would add some ‘70s glamour to any outfit.  I love the contrast of the black velvet floppy bow across the toe, which just adds to their playful design.  Putting on this shoe makes me want to kick up my heels while wearing a little black dress for an evening out.  I’m planning a trip to Vegas in November and I think this shoe would make the perfect addition to my travel wardrobe.  Perhaps if I end up winning big? - Kathleen

FIVE. Silence + Noise Open Front Blazer in Charcoal — I’ve always said that if there’s one style decade I never want to bring back, it’s the ’80s (neon pink spandex? Yikes!) But the recent shift to late ’70s-inspired styles like Silence + Noise’s Open Front Blazer is slowly changing my mind. More Annie Hall than Debbie Harry, this lightweight yet substantial piece is a must-have in the transition from summer to fall. Constructed beautifully (in the USA), it’s cut to flatter, falls perfectly at mid-hip and — to my pleasant surprise — looks 10 times better in person than it does on the Urban Outfitters web site. Wear it with the cigarette pants or a bright blue dress, and don’t forget to roll up your sleeves rolled to show off the shiny, chic pinstriped interior. - Charli
