Blue Phenomen’Eyes

Last year, Stacey reviewed Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes mascara, a mascara with an unusual ball-shaped applicator. The brand recently launched Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Effet Extension, which keeps the lengthening, thickening formulation of the original, but gives the added plus of 3 additional shades.

Now available in blue, khaki (olive green), and plum, they’re meant to brighten and enhance the color of your eyes. Blue is ideal for all eye colors, and it’s supposed to make blue eyes appear bluer, brown eyes appear more golden, and hazel eyes more green. Khaki helps green eyes appear greener and brown eyes more golden. Plum deepens blue or green eyes.

Since I have brown eyes, I tried Effect Extension in blue. It took some time to get used to the brush, and I’d never worn non-black mascara before. I thought it looked great! It doesn’t appear really blue unless you look closely, but it does subtly help brighten my eyes. My lashes also look nice and thick. See for yourself exclusively at Sephora.
