The Emmy Awards aired last night and is television’s celebration of its very best. Of course, we love to analyze the best of the red carpet fashion worn by the stars the morning after! Here are a few of our favorite looks in no particular order–keep reading for the scoop on who wore what, and share your thoughts with us too!
Up first is Olivia Wilde from House, looking stunning in a Marchesa gown straight from their SS 2010 presentation. The gown had layers of juniper embroidered tulle and petal pleats, with a revealing, yet delicate, bodice. She also carried a pretty Marchesa crystal embroidered clutch. We also loved Blake Lively, who looked glowing and sultry in a deep red Versace with a plunging neckline. Her hair was elegantly done in a goddess-esque braid by Renato Campora of Frederic Fekkai, and her makeup was flawless (Dior, of course).
Heidi Klum was amazingly beautiful in a custom-made black lace strapless Marchesa. I adored the gorgeously embroidered bodice. She simply glowed, and accessorized with jewels from Lorraine Schwartz.
Sandra Oh shined in Marchesa as well, in a sleek gold gown that complemented her petite figure perfectly. Her hair was styled in soft waves, and to complete the look, she accessorized with yellow gold diamond teardrop earrings from Tacori and bling on her finger by David Yurman.
I loved the jewel tone of Christina Applegate’s satin Basil Soda gown–and that beautiful sapphire Lorraine Schwartz ring! She looked so pretty with darkly lined eyes and soft lips, done by Joanna Schlip for Clarins.
January Jones of Mad Men looked amazing in Versace, a pale pink silk gown with an embroidered glass bustier! The lines and geometric shapes gave it a modern twist.
Other faves included Rose Byrne in Valentino, Tina Fey in Gucci, Chloe Sevigny in Isaac Mizrahi, Kate Walsh in J. Mendel (with a clutch from Aldo!), Toni Collette in Monique Lhuillier, and Mariska Hargitay in Carolina Herrera.
