Club Monaco–how I love thee, let me count the ways.  1.  Your stylish panel to panel window store displays, which I used to see walking home from work every night in Flatiron.  I could never walk past those windows without coveting at least one item in the windows.  2.  Your frequent usage of classic black and white, one of my favorite color combinations. 3. Your chic and polished looks, which keep me looking stylish, yet still professional at work, even in conservative office culture. 4.  Your frequently replenished sales racks, which I happily browse as a weekend activity.

I have a pretty major love affair with Club Monaco just about every season, and was extremely excited to hear rumors of an E-Commerce site coming out sometime this year.  Club Monaco represents probably about 60% of my work wardrobe, and is one of my favorite mass retailers for their good quality, reasonable prices, and classic interpretation of each season’s trends.

This season is no different.  With the boyfriend blazer as a must have item for Fall for every fashion magazine, practically every store has done their iteration of the trend.  I’ve tried on many versions, and my favorite is the one by Club Monaco.  Offered in both cotton, and a darker wool/flannel blend for cooler temps, I love the variety of colors, with a light tan, the classic black, and a heather gray.  The length of the blazer hits perfectly mid thigh and is tailored perfectly at the waist to balance out the wideness of the shoulder.  Check out my favorite look from the Club Monaco lookbook left, paired for contrast with a more girly and floral dress.

My other favorite piece for Fall 2010 ?  The dark, deep royal purple Pam silk shirt pictured above, which I love for its intricate pleat detailing and one shoulder foldover draping, which only adds to its luxe sophistication.  I like the way it is currently paired above with a high waisted wool pencil skirt, with the studded Tory leather belt for texture, which follows the Stacy London credo of texture, sheen, and visual interest for a perfect outfit.

Visit the Club Monaco website to see the rest of the looks from the Fall 2o10 lookbook.  What’s your favorite?
