Luminizing Satin
For their Fall 2009 collection, Shiseido’s Artistic Director (and an amazing makeup artist), Dick Page took inspiration from mosaic tiles and created a beautiful colorful collection of long-lasting shadows with the look of fine silk.
The Luminizing Satin Eye Color comes in a variety of hues from a peony pink to a serpant green, but we found that some of the neutrals were the best investments. The shade of Alchemy (RD709) is a beautiful muted gold that gives a hint of shimmer but still remains subtle. It’s perfect for everyday wear! Slate (GY913) is a buildable slightly shimmery gray hue that can be applied lightly for daytime; or you can use a heavier hand for a sexier smoky eye. Both have a good lasting power, especially if you apply an eyelid primer prior to application. These are both versatile hues that you can pretty much wear everyday and keep in your makeup collection as long as their shelf life.
Available at Nordstrom.com, Dillards.com and Shiseido.com.
