New for Nooka

Forgive me, but I’ve recently just begun to realize something that many other people have long known: accessories are fun!  I know it’s a bit of a no duh, but I’m really taking this accessory embracing to heart!  My next pick for a must have accesory are these fun and unique Nooka watches.  Soft and zen soothing with their smoothly rounded corner and gummy looking composition, these watches toe the line between looking too juvenile or Jetsons futuristic.

I like the muted candydrop colors that the watches are offered in, including a pure white, and the interesting face of the watch which contributes to its space age feel.  If you had any doubts that this watch was meant for a child, trying to tell time on this square faced watch would prove you wrong.  While it will definitely take time to adjust from reading Roman Numeral or Digital time, the special way that the watch displays the time is part of its charm, with 4 rows.  The first 2 rows represent the hours and are numbered from 1-6 and 7-12, with bars set to extend to the number of the hour.  The third row show minutes 0-59 and the fourth row seconds 0-59.

I would wear this watch to work, for a bit of hidden playfulness, to contrast against the strict dress code and steel dominated, formal looking watches most often seen in Corporate America.  The unisex watch retails for $130-140, and comes in a variety of other colors and slight variation of designs, other than those pictured above including lime, glow in the dark,  and lavendar.  Check out Karmaloop to see all the versions!

These are so neat! I love anything different and unique, and I’d love to confuse my friends with a watch like this! :)
