I love lip gloss, but I find that so many of my favorites are just too sticky for my tastes. (Sticky glosses make me very unhappy considering my long hair. Every time I give in and wear one, I find myself wiping it off almost immediately after my hair gets stuck in it every time I turn my head. It’s very annoying). So any time I find a great gloss that manages not to be sticky, I immediately want to buy it in every shade.

Velana K glosses are my newest non-sticky lip obsession. Available in 10 glamorous shades, the colors are all inspired and named after women in Velana’s life. (Isn’t that a cute idea? I totally want someone to name a lip gloss after me now!) The formula is great – it’s full of vitamins A and C and also contains a golden seaweed mixture that moisturizes and protects against aging. It also has shea butter in it, which helps protect against dehydration, so your lips will stay smooth and cared for in extreme temperatures. It’s almost like wearing a lip balm instead of a gloss, which I love. I tried a few of the different shades and my favorites are Emily, a rich, sophisticated berry, and Jennifer, a bright pink. I’m also dying to see Courtney in person – it’s a bold, dramatic crimson. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect red shade (lipstick or gloss) and this looks like it could be a real contender.
