ONE. Anthropologie Carrington Top — What caught my eye about this top, besides its sale price of $39.95, was the gorgeous draping and ruching. It’s almost Greek goddess-like, but has a twist of sexy sophistication. This top also comes in some pretty seasonal colors, which is perfect for fall! My favorites are the emerald green or grape-y purple, but you can’t go wrong with basic black or white. I’d wear this with slim black pants or dark wash denim, a long necklace, and a clutch for a night out. - Nina

TWO. Viv & Ingrid Cupcake Keepsake Box — How cute are these hand laqcquered cupcake keepsake boxes? At $22, they are perfect for storing jewelry (like rings and earrings) and of course, look adorable on your desk or dresser. They also make splendid gifts – whether it’s for birthday or for yourself. Viv & Ingrid offers a complementary option of a card, or you can also add a pair of post earrings for only $12 (which is still under our $50 cheap & chic budget)! – Connie

THREE. Susie Rose Trench — When I saw these cute coats at a press preview last week, I could not believe how affordable they are! Priced at $25 each,  these are definitely a fashionable and cheap addition to your fall closet.  Susie Rose is a brand exclusive to Walmart and I was surprised by the good quality and feel of these jackets.  I especially like the plaid one which combines both classic and seasonal trendy elements.  The jackets are on the light side, so scoop one up for now before it gets too cold, and save them for when the spring rolls around again!  - Carolyn

FOUR. Harajuku Girls Snow Bunnies — I already raved about the Harajuku Lovers fragrances last year, but the new limited-edition Snow Bunnies are so ridiculously cute that I had to pick them as my Cheap and Chic item this month. Featuring the same five distinctive scents – Love, Lil Angel, Music, Baby and G – the bottles have been changed to suit the cold weather and all of the girls are now dressed in winter clothing to match the weather on the chilly streets of Harajuku. How adorable is that? I smile every time I look at them. Each scent is available in a 10 mL container that’s small enough to carry around with you or travel with, which is great because no one likes to cart around a big bottle that can easily break. And for only $30 each, you can afford to buy a few of them without breaking the bank. (Lil Angel is my personal favorite). Cheap and chic, indeed! - Staceyicon

FIVE. BB Dakota Raven Flannel Dress — Plaid may be on its way out soon, as I observed while recently looking at the first floor of Forever 21. Almost all of the trend oriented items on the first floor involved some variation of plaid, which only means that it’s pretten much nearing the bottom of the trend wave. In spite of this, I still like plaid for its schoolish overtones, and plan to continue wearing it at least through the cold weather, with the addition of BB Dakota’s Blue Plaid Raven Dress. I like the oversized cut of this dress, with its sherpa fleece lined hood and cuffs, and paired as seen on the model here with slim studded belt. The length of the dress is that midway point between dress or tunic, meaning that it can go either way, and be versatilely dressed up with either a bare leg and some ankle booties or leggings and some knee boots. At $26.95, it also requires very little investment, meaning that just one more buy in into the plaid trend is perfectly doable. - Kathleen
