Robin Black made a name for herself as a key makeup artist on the runway for Diane von Furstenberg and Damian Hurst for Levi’s. Having worked with celebs such as Chloe Sevigny, Jessica Alba, and Kristen Bell, Black is best known for her “classic with an edge” style and minimalist beauty philosophy. Now, she’s heading up the new beauty studio, Face at Warren-Tricomi LA, offering a wide range of services including makeup, brows, lashes as well as outcall/mobile services. Let’s find out what she’s loving this month!
ONE. Take Me Home – Our recently adopted dog, Mack, is the center of our household. He makes us laugh all day long with his silly antics and big floppy grin! Take me Home is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that works with shelters and rescues to help save animals on death row, on the streets or in unsafe living conditions. Adopt a rescue today and save a life.
TWO. Levi’s 501 – They are still the coolest thing in my closet. Paired with a casual James Perse tee and sandals or a Balmain jacket and heeled boots, I always feel good in 501′s. Plus, the more worn they get, the better they look!
THREE. Deep Blue Eyeliner – I tend to go with a natural face but with Fall in the air, it’s nice to add a little flair. One of my favorite looks for the season is a swoop of deep blue or navy eyeliner along the upper lashes. It’s sophisticated and more fun than the typical black.
FOUR. Paul & Joe Beaute – The packaging is French and the products are made in Japan! It’s the best of both worlds and the light orange flower essence is lovely. Creamy rose beige, vintage inspired cases are mixed with seasonal florals and other girlie prints. The products have a gorgeous texture and the colors are sheer enough for every day.
FIVE. 29 Palms Inn – Built on a natural oasis in Joshua Tree National Park, the organic restaurant and super cute bungalows make this the perfect weekend getaway. The desert landscape always inspires me and the cocktails are fantastic.
