Lisa Hoffman Variations

I’d been hearing great things about Lisa Hoffman’s Variations for a really long time, so when I finally got the chance to try one out, I jumped at it. Lisa Hoffman has a really interesting take on fragrances, one that I hadn’t even really thought about before. Each scent is divided into four different pulse point oils that are designed to complement women’s changing fragrance sensitivites throughout the day. The Morning oil is light and subtle to ease you into the day, the Daytime oil is rich and dimensional for the time of the day when you’re the busiest, the Evening oil is deep and sensual to perfectly match the time of day when you’re out having a dinner with your boyfriend or even staying in for a romantic dinner at home, and the Bedtime oil is gentle and soft, for those women who like to wear a scent to bed.
There are five different scents available – French Clary Sage, Tuscan Fig, Tunisian Neroli, Madagascar Orchid, and Japanese Agarwood. I tried the Japanese Agarwood and I love it. (It was a Fragrance of the Year Finalist recently). It was inspired by the natural oils from the rainforest and it has hints of Italian Bergamot, Spiced Ginger Accord, and Warm Amber in it. It’s very hard for me to describe since it doesn’t smell like any other fragrance I’ve ever tried – it’s very complex and warm, sort of spicy and on me, I can really smell the Bergamot. The oils are very potent too – the scent really lingers, so you get a lot of wear out of every variation. What I really love about it is that it’s so different because I hate wearing the same scent as everyone else. I was totally obsessed with Angel until every other woman started wearing it and then I instantly was done with it. Who wants to smell the same as four other women in the line at Starbucks? But with all five of these Lisa Hoffman scents, they’re so unique and original, I can almost guarantee that won’t be the case. I loved the Japanese Agarwood so much that now I’m dying to try the other scents, especially the Tuscan Fig and the French Clary Sage.
Each scent is $95 and comes packaged in four glass roller-ball vials that are tucked into a luxurious leather pouch, which makes it easily portable for use during the day or for traveling. (It also looks great as a gift). You can find out more information or purchase them at www.lisahoffmanskincare.com.
