One Tank, Two Looks

One staple that should be in every fashionista’s closet is the perfect white, tissue tank. I got mine from Division E and it will be the key item I’ll be repeatedly reaching for this fall. I love it because it’s just the right length and weight, and so so comfy. Ultra soft, tissue tanks are a model’s uniform during the summers , but since I don’t have a model’s physique, I prefer to wear mine as a key layering piece for colder weather looks. Two of my favorite ways to wear them (one for the office, and one for the weekend) are highlighted above.
1. I work in a moderately conservative office but I’ll never be caught in a khaki & button down ensemble. Instead, I go for an overall office appropriate look by working with fashionable pieces (that might never cut it on their own). For example, the tank is a bit see through and the leather skirt is rather short but the jacket helps make the look a little more modest and the opaque tights simultaneously make the skirt seem more appropriate and disguise that I’m actually wearing these shoes.
Head to Toe:
Stella McCartney silk cropped jacket
Division E tank
Vince leather skirt
Spanx tights
Sigerson Morrison Hurache Sandals
2. This is perhaps my most favorite weekend look of the moment, a fail proof chic (but not trying too hard) outfit appropriate for sushi or shopping. I will wear these boyfriend jeans forever, but for those of you not into it, this outfit also works well with skinny jeans. The tank adds just the right amount of chic and casual.
Head to Toe:
Theory Boyfriend Blazer
Division E tank
Les Halles Boyfriend Jeans
Nine West Vintage America Buckle Belt (hidden)
Alaia gladiator sandals
How do you wear your tissue tank? Let me know!!
