Make A Wish

Smashbox has a ton of holiday gift sets available this season and what makes them even better this year is that the entire WISH Holiday Collection is part of a charitable initiative from Smashbox.  For every purchase made from the WISH collection, Smashbox will donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network.  It’s a non-profit organization that helps to provide medical care, life-saving research and continuing education to both sick and injured children.  So you get great products and the knowledge that you’re actually doing a good thing by buying them.  What could be better?  The WISH collection includes seven different sets.  Here are a few of my favorites:

WISH for the Perfect Pout ($29) is a limited-edition set of lip glosses that contains a combination of Smashbox’s best-selling shades and new holiday colors.  You get two full-sized glosses and four smaller glosses in the following shades:

My absolute favorite is Tease.  It’s the prettiest dark pink with a hint of purple thrown in and it looks absolutely perfect with a purple smoky eye.  (I’ve been trying to find a gloss to go with my favorite purple shadows for months now and I got very, very excited when I put this one on.  Mission accomplished!)

WISH For the Perfect Pencils ($32) is a set of five eye pencils that’s available exclusively at Sephora.  The shades include:

Considering how expensive good eyeliners can be, this is a great value because it breaks down to just over $6 for each shade – a total bargain.  It’s a great way to replenish your eyeliner stock and get some fun colors as well.  (I especially love the silver and bronze shades.  The metallic colors just scream “Holiday” to me in a fun, sophisticated way).

If you’re one of the many fans of Smashbox’s uber popular Photo Finish Foundation Primer, WISH For a Flawless Complexion ($39) is the set for you.  The set contains both a full-sized Photo Finish Foundation Primer and a travel size of it.  Such a great idea because primer is the one thing I never traveled with until I got my hands on the smaller size – the big one is just a little too bulky for me to fit into my usually already bulging makeup bag.  And if you buy the set, you save $13 from what it would cost you to buy them each individually.  (And not that I’m advocating keeping presents you buy for other people, but if you know someone who has never tried the primer before, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if you bought this set, gave them the full-sized one and kept the travel size for yourself.  I’m just saying…)
