Holiday Gift Guide 09: Beauty Bombshell

Know a girl who always makes a stop anytime she’s near a Sephora to check out the latest beauty products on the shelves? She’s definitely a beauty junkie – and proud of it! We put together a list of a few favorites for this holiday season that she’s sure to love.

ONE. Bobbi Brown Chrome Palette — We see a lot of makeup here at TDO, but when we first spotted this palette, we actually gasped a little. The ten different eye shadows are stunning; they range from light to dark shades and they all have a gorgeous shimmer to them. THREE. SK-II Cate Blanchett’s Essentials Collection — SK-II spokesperson Cate Blanchett discovered the brand almost a decade ago and became instantly obsessed. Since we loved her flawless, glowing skin, we decided to try the products ourselves and – you guessed it- became instantly obsessed. Cate’s essential collection includes some of her favorite products from the line, including what we hear is one of her year round must-haves, the Facial Treatment Mask. Each product in the set contain the line’s highest concertraion of Pitera, the brand’s signature ingredient derived from sake and restores moisture to the skin. This luxe gift will be perfect for anyone who demands serious luxury with their serious skincare.

FOUR. Stila Kitten Collection – This set from Stila would make an ideal gift for any beauty-obsessed gal. With this set, you’ll get double the Kitten–the cult favorite, universally-flattering champagne pink shade that everyone loves. The Kitten Collection comes with a Kitten eyeshadow and lip glaze, which would normally cost $40 if purchased individually. However, this only costs $18! So it’s a good deal in addition to being a great gift. It doesn’t come with a pan for the eye shadow, so buy the $2 refillable pan separately.

FIVE. BeautyZZZ Natural Silk Pillowcase — For the beauty junkie on your list that has body creams, eye creams, and makeup palettes galore, does she have the ultimate basic in beauty sleep, the silk pillowcase? Not just a luxury, but a necessity, silk pillowcases are better for you because the 18 amino acids found in silk resemble those found in your hair to restore hair silkiness and luster, and reduce fine facial lines. We couldn’t decide whether the Bvlgari Blanc Guest Set should be considered for the Hostess gift guide or for the beauty addict- so we recommend gifting two sets to your favorite gal pal: one for her guest bathroom and one for herself to indulge!
