Stay Don’t Stray

I’ve been working a lot of hours lately, so whenever I can find a product that makes my life a little easier (and makes my makeup last longer) I’m all over it.  (See my previous post on Stila’s One Step Makeup).  Benefit’s new Stay Don’t Stray is another great time saver that I’ve added to my morning routine.  It’s a primer that works for both concealers and eyeshadows, which is a great idea since most primers are made primarily either for face or for eyes, but not both.

Simply pump a small amount onto your fingertips, then smooth it under your eyes and onto your eyelids, rubbing it in as you go.  It’s creamy and blends easily, so you won’t see any telltale color or weird flakes from the formula once you’ve blended it.  After it’s on, just apply your under eye concealer and shadows like normal and go about your day.  Hours later, they’ll still be there.  I was a little skeptical at first, but I got a really good result on the days I used it.  (I actually forgot that I was testing it one night and looked in the mirror at 8pm and was pleasantly surprised how well the shadow on my lids was holding up.  It wasn’t until my drive home that I remembered and got all excited that I could see the difference).  As a bonus, the formula also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E that helps to fight signs of aging, so you’re helping prevent wrinkles as you conceal.  Also – how can anyone resist a primer called Stay Don’t Stray?  Just the name alone makes me smile.  Love that!
