Michelle Trachtenberg & Crest 3D White
Last week, I had the opportunity to sit down with Crest’s new ambassador Michelle Trachtenberg for lunch at one of New York’s top restaurants, Le Bernardin. A 30 minute chat with the Gossip Girl & Mercy star proved that Michelle certainly was one of the coolest chicas around. After lunch we were gifted a set of Crest’s new 3D White collection including white strips, toothbrush, toothpaste and mouth wash. We’re still working on testing out the products so check back for a review shortly. In the meantime, we were informed that other Michelle fans will have the opportunity to meet her and celebrate the new launch of Crest 3D white. Click on the invite below for more details!

Priori Skincare
Recently, I got the chance to have some of the women from Priori come to my office and give the women (and a few of the men!) mini-facials. It was a really nice break in the middle of a hectic work week (and it made me pretty popular around the office!) I was also able to get a bunch of their products to test out and while I liked them all, I found a few that are definitely going to be a permanent part of my product rotation from now on.
Priori has several different lines of products, but the one that suits me the most is the CoffeeBerry Natureceuticals. The line is based around the most potent source of antioxidants that’s found in nature – CoffeeBerry extract. (I’m going to pretend that this means that all the overpriced caramel lattes I’ve ingested were actually somewhat good for me). CoffeeBerry extract is actually three times more potent than green tea and it gives you great anti-aging benefits (such as reducing fine lines and wrinkles) so it’s definitely a great choice for those of us who are determined to look young for as long as possible. Happy O

I love that Easter is one of those defining moments of spring where it’s just a good excuse to eat good chocolate, wear bright colors and generally celebrate the season with your friends and family. Every year I try to do something around the holiday just because I’m happy that the flowers are out, the grass is green and can finally look forward to sunnier weather.
This year I’m hoping to impress guests with one of the most genius Easter themed products I’ve ever come across: colored Happy O Wine glasses by Riedel. The set comes with 4 glasses with 4 colored bottom rims- red, green, blue, and yellow. The glasses are really playful and fun in addition to being stylish and practical- they are appropriate for both red and white wine. In addition, they make such a pretty accent on your dining room table (or wherever you drink). Each set retails for $60- making it appropriate as a gift or for yourself. So far everyone who has seen mine has commented on how cool they are and every time I look at them, I can only think of sunny days and white wine. I’m marking them as an obsession!
Accessorize with Coach
I’m heading to NYC shortly for some business meetings and obviously, that requires some adjustments to my wardrobe. Overall, I try to pull together outfits that are a bit more polished, and recently, headed over to Coach for some accessory inspiration (er, window shopping?).
The Evie heel in black is SO incredibly perfect to throw on for meetings (I have to be in flats otherwise since I’ll be walking all over the city in between). They strike the perfect balance between edgy and professional. I can throw them on with a blazer and dark skinny jeans to look put together without too much effort. Now onto bags…
This is where it becomes a bit more difficult. I’ve been obsessing over the leather Brooke bag for months now and still think it would make a fantastic addition to my closet (especially in the Camel or Black hues for versatility). I also like the Peyton Woven Large Leather Tote in Natural, which is a fab texture/color for spring but still big enough to carry everything I need. From the Kristin collection, there’s also the Embossed Exotic Large Tote for day and the Leather Clutch (maybe in gold?) for night.
Which would be my favorite? I think it might be the Kristin tote or the leather Brooke bag. Sadly, none of these are in my budget at the moment so I’ll just have to make do with what I have…
Modern Flowers

Even though some summer makeup collections are already being talked about, we still have to get through the spring first. Sephora by OPI has introduced their Spring 2010 collection and the shades are very varied and interesting (definitely nothing boring and safe here!) OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, Suzi Weiss-Fischmann says that “The Modern Flowers collection was inspired by ‘city girl’ flowers – simple, dramatic, iconic blooms of color and sophistication. Think calla lilies, orchids, irises, tulips.” The shades include:
- Handpicked for Me – Light pink lilac with silver shimmer
- Leaf Him at the Altar – Metallic vine green
- Cover Me in Petals – Vivid tigerlily red orange
- Iris I Was Thinner – Medium iris purple
- Go With the Flow-er – Bright tulip pink with hot pink shimmer
- It’s Bouquet with Me – Sheer violet with silver and holographic glitter
Aren’t those the cutest shade names ever? Love them! As far as the colors go, I don’t tend to go for the brighter shades on my fingers, but I would wear them all on my toes. So far, I’ve had pedicures done with Leaf Him at the Altar (very chic) and Cover Me in Petals (vivid and cheerful). I’ve been dying to pick up It’s Bouquet with Me because any polish with glitter in it makes me happy, but my Sephora is always out of it whenever I stop by. (I guess glitter makes a lot of people happy!)
The Modern Flowers collection is at Sephora stores and on Sephora.com now.
SJP NYC

If you’re looking for your next spring scent, you’ll want to try the latest from Sarah Jessica Parker–SJP NYC. While SJP’s previous launches have been all about expressing herself, this one is actually inspired by her most famous character, Carrie Bradshaw! SJP NYC is a vibrant, sweet mix of fruit and floral notes that I thought were really great for spring. It’s sweet without being overwhelming, and I think the fruit notes really add a touch of freshness.
The bottle itself is simple glass, and it’s housed in a small pink canister covered with the patterns and prints inspired by Carrie’s closet. The scent and packaging are definitely very Carrie Bradshaw. SJP says that this fragrance is meant to evoke a sense of fun and whimsy. “It’s about mixing things up and breaking rules, all of the things I like about fashion,” she says. SJP NYC is $25-$49, depending on size, and is much more affordable than, say, the amazing Oscar de la Renta dress she’s wearing above. Keep reading for the note breakdown! (more…)
