Give Me Liberty of London

Liberty of London is taking the USA by storm, first with its collection for Target and now with their collaboration with MAC Cosmetics. As someone who loves London a ridiculous amount, I couldn’t be happier. (Although it would’ve been nice if the Target products hadn’t sold out so quickly! I got there only a few hours after the store opened and they were cleaned out). Luckily, MAC’s collection is still available, but that definitely won’t last long, so hurry to your nearest counter if you’re hoping to score some of the goodies.
The first thing that I noticed about the collection is the packaging. It really would be impossible for it to be any cuter. If you’re someone who loves the outside of products as much as the makeup inside, you’re going to go nuts for these shades. The colors come in all white packaging with different designs, such as flowers or birds, and you can store them in two different makeup bags that are also part of the collection. The packaging is so cute that I almost don’t want to use any of the colors inside so I can keep them forever, but since that’s kind of insane, I’m not going to make myself play with them!
The collection isn’t huge, but the colors are bright and bold and perfect for the spring. Out of the four lipsticks, the one that I love the most is Petals & Peacocks, a bright magenta pink that would look great as the focus of your look for a night out. Out of the four Lipglasses, the one I’m the most captivated by is A Different Groove. It’s different than any glosses I already have (which is kind of hard, since I have a ton!) MAC describes it as a deep purple brown with pearl and that’s better than anything I could come up with. It’s a definite must own if you like unique shades.
Out of the five eyeshadows, I’m totally obsessed with Bough Grey and Birds & Berries. Bough Grey is a blueish-grey that makes a great smokey eye, and Birds & Berries is the prettiest frosted dark green blue. It’s sort of a teal shade that’s really fun and unexpected. I’m totally loving it for spring. There are two nail lacquers in the collection, but only one really caught my eye. Blue India is a dark green blue with pearl that I’m saving for my next pedicure. (And the bottle is super cute, with a bird on it. Definitely a collector’s item).
The collection also includes two different blushes – Prim & Proper, a neutral nude, and Dirty Plum, a sheer dark plum – and two Beauty Powders – Shell Pearl, pale peach with gold pearl, and Summer Rose, a soft violet pink with pearl. I could’ve seriously bought them all at the counter, that’s how pretty they are.
You can buy yours at www.maccosmetics.com or at your nearest MAC counter now.

Yup the Liberty stuff is still at my Target here in NE too. I just snagged a mug, a bucket hat and dresses for my girls yesterday.
I think it’s one of the drawbacks of living in a major city – the second any collections like that hit stores, they sell out immediately. It’s so frustrating! There are too many people shopping in Los Angeles!

You totally need to visit the Target by my house – all of the Liberty of London stuff is still in stock…and in so many sizes! You would have an absolute field day there!! :)
