Accessories, Fashion, Lust List, New York, Paper Goods, Shoes, Spas & Salons — Lust List: March 2010
ONE. The Setai Club — Just opened in January 2010, The Setai Club at The Setai Wall Street is already one of the most buzzed about and coveted members-only lifestyle clubs among those New Yorkers “in the know.” Situated at 40 Broad, The Setai Club offers not only a much needed oasis for the Financial District’s busiest professionals, but for all those who seek the utmost comfort and service minus the usual “scene” of Meatpacking or Chelsea. Club benefits include access to the SHO Bar, a private lounge, and the Setai’s newest restaurant SHO Shaun Hergatt, full access to The Setai Spa, The Setai Fitness Studio, a library, wine tasting and other private rooms, a worldwide concierge and hookups at a number of retail partners, club partners and Setai properties worldwide. The sophisticated atmosphere of the entire Setai Club is lush and seductive, a sort of Asian inspired Art-Deco with deep red lighting, opulent flourishes, and state of the art amenities- perfect for closing a high stakes deal or having an after work rendezvous. It’s no surprise that having a membership ($5000/year) at the Setai tops my lust-list this month.
In addition, the Setai Spa is also open to the public and club guests. I had the opportunity to experience a Signature Massage, an hour of whole body, personalized pampering followed by full access to the spa’s amenities including steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. The private nature of the spa makes the experience all the more luxurious and be sure not to leave before soaking in the peppermint infused steam room- a sure way to perk up your senses and leave your skin with that coveted, radiant glow. - Carolyn
TWO. Knitwit Silk Cashmere Feather Cardigan — I think the cardigan is such an important wardrobe staple at any time of year. This “buttery soft” number is made of an eco-friendly soybean cashmere blend called “tofu” cashmere. It’s light enough for summer, with gorgeous black and gold buttons, and looks like it will go with anything — dressed up or down. Love! - Charli
THREE. Vince Drape Neck Leather Jacket — I’ve been dying to buy a leather jacket for months now, but I can never decide what cut or color I want. And then I saw this taupe jacket from Vince and now I know that if I had a spare thousand dollars lying around, it would be the one. There’s so many thing to love about it – the color, the buttery soft leather, the drape neck that almost looks like ruffles…. Everything about it makes me slightly giddy. Everything, that is, except the price tag, which sadly means that I will probably never own it. Unless it goes on a huge, 80-90% off sale, in which case I will push little old ladies out of the way to get my hands on it. Let’s hope it never comes to that! - Stacey
FOUR. Dempsey & Carroll Schumacher Boxed Stationery Sets — I love the recent collaboration between the stationery company, Dempsey & Carroll, and fabric house, F. Schumacher & Co. Paired with a simple round corner silver beveled flat, the envelopes are lined in signature Schumacher patterns. I love the contrast and pairing a simple flat with an interesting envelope makes such a great statement. Sadly, I can’t afford to order a box at $60 (each set comes with 10 flats and envelopes), but if you want a box, definitely snap one up while you can since these are limited edition! - Connie
FIVE. Christian Louboutin Pique 140 Sandals – Is it too early to start lusting after shoes for the spring and summer seasons? My newest Louboutin lust is for these gorgeous tan sandals. I’m loving the height of the heels (of course, since I’m sadly short), the strappy look, and the stitch detailing that contrasts with the luxurious leather. I can already picture myself wearing it with an oversize sweater and skinny jeans, or a pretty dress…sigh… – Nina
