Candy Apples
As much as I love fruity fragrances, for some reason, DKNY’s apple scented ones were never my favorites. So when they released three new limited-edition fragrances, all a variation on the apple theme, I totally expected to spritz them on at Sephora, shake my head, and keep on walking. This totally shows that once again, I really have no anticipation skills whatsoever because I ended up falling for two of them – the Juicy Berry Candy Apple and the Ripe Raspberry Candy Apple.
They both come in the cutest bottles shaped to look like candy apples with the stick coming out of the top. (Fun fact about me – when I was little, I asked my mom to buy me a candy apple at an amusement park and she told me no because she said that they sometimes made your teeth come out in the apple. It scared me so much that to this day, I’ve still never had a candy apple, even though I’m kind of dying to try one. It’s so funny the things that stick with us, right?) Anyway, cuteness of the bottles aside, the two berry scents are fun and flirty, the kind of perfumes I associate with spring and warmer weather.
Juicy Berry is my favorite – it’s a a mix of blackberry and fresh apple blossoms with notes of rose petals and sandalwood in it as well. It’s sort of sweet and floral at the same time. Ripe Raspberry is more of an Oriental scent – it’s a blend of green apple and raspberry with floral notes and oddly, a finishing accent of Coca-Cola. (I know it sounds weird, but for some reason, it just works for me). There’s also a third scent, Sweet Caramel Candy Apple, which is a mix of apple and delicate flowers, that finishes with creamy caramel and vanilla notes. If you’re a fan of DKNY’s apple scents, you’re definitely going to want to check these out. Delish!

I’m always a fan of the original version. These limited editions are so cute, I hope that I will like the scent as well because I’m going to get it just to have the bottle!
