Beauty, NailsSparkle This Summer

During the fall and winter, I’m all about the dark shades on my nails – reds, browns, greys… I can’t get enough of them.  But once the warmer weather comes back around, I can’t wait to bust out the colorful colors (especially on my toes).  This summer, Zoya introduces two new color collections – Sparkle and Flash – that are bright and cheerful and perfect for the season.

Sparkle is made up of six metallic shades, all bright and colorful and just begging to be worn out at night.  I have a serious love for sparkly shades on my toes, so I practically squealed when I opened the package and saw them.  They’re all absolutely gorgeous – not a dud in the bunch.  I’m not normally a green polish wearer, but Ivanka, a shimmery almost emerald shade, is the perfect pedicure color.  (And I love that it’s named after a Trump!)  If you’re a purple lover, you’re definitely going to want to add Mimi to your collection.  It’s the perfect sparkly grape color – another pedicure shade I can’t wait to test out.  On my nails, I’ll probably be alternating between Nidhi (a lighter red) and Gilda (a bright pink).  It’ll be hard choosing though.  There’s not a dud in the bunch.  (And here’s a tip for those of you who hate taking off glitter polish – soak a cotton pad in polish remover and leave it on your nail for two minutes or so to ease the color removal).

The other collection Zoya came out with for summer is called Flash and it’s made up of six cream shades.  They range from Jancyn, a super bright orange, to Robyn, a sky blue, with pinks and purples also being represented.  (Dana is a particularly pretty hot pink).  What I love about these collections is how perfect they are for the hot weather and how great all the shades will look peeking out of my sandals all summer long.  Zoya shades always wear especially well on me, too, with minimal chipping and long-lasting shine, so they get bonus points for that.  And as always, Zoya polishes are free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, and Dibutyl Phthalate, so they’re not harmful to your nails.  All of this can only mean one thing.  Get ready to sparkle it up this summer!
