CLEAN for the Summer

Ask anyone who knows me what my all time favorite fragrance brand is and they’ll immediately tell you that it’s CLEAN. (Even my mom, who I’m pretty sure tunes me out on the phone at this point when I go on and on about a product I’m obsessed with, knows it.) When I found out that they were coming out with two new scents for the summer, I couldn’t ask for samples fast enough.

The first of the two scents, Outdoor Shower Fresh, is available now. It was inspired by “the crisp, fresh scent of nature’s subtle aroma and the feel-good freedom of al fresco showering.” (Which is hilarious to me because unless I was absolutely 100% sure there was no way anyone could catch me, I would never shower outside. I guess I’m kind of uptight that way). When I spritz it on, I can definitely smell the opening notes of bergamot and violet leaves. The middle notes include water lily and tropical rain accord, and it ends with notes of musk and sandalwood. To me, it smells slightly of wet flowers and leaves after a rainstorm, but I mean that in the best way. It’s perfect for a hot summer night walking along the beach, but it’s also light enough to be a daytime scent. (One of the things I like most about CLEAN fragrances is their versatility).

The second new offering from CLEAN is called Summer Linen. This scent is a limited edition and was inspired by the sun kissed scents of a warm summer breeze. It uses the same crisp, fresh notes we’ve come to expect from CLEAN and combines them with a twist of citrus. Its blend of Crisp Bergamot, Italian Limoncello, and Mirabelle Plum is really refreshing – I’d want to spray it on for a day of fun in the summer, maybe a stroll down the boardwalk or a long lunch with my friends. Like all of the CLEAN scents, it’s subtle but sexy all at the same time. I met a friend for coffee the other day while I was wearing it and she noticed it immediately and asked what I was wearing. (I was happy to fill her in, but I told her she’d have to buy her own bottle because I wasn’t sharing mine!) Summer Linen will be available this May exclusively at Sephora and on HSN.
