Cheap & Chic: November 2010
ONE. Urban Outfitters Cooperative Cable Eternity Scarf — Even though I love living in balmy Los Angeles, when the weather finally gets chilly (for six weeks or so) I can’t wait to throw on my winter gear, especially scarves. They’re so warm and cozy and can totally make a cute outfit even cuter. Right now, I’m coveting the Cooperative Cable Eternity Scarf at Urban Outfitters. It looks super soft, and I love that it won’t drag on the ground when I wear it. It’s available in five different colors, but I’m partial to the red and ivory shades the most. And at only $28 apiece, I can afford both of them! - Stacey
TWO. J.Crew Fiver Ring — I love the great finds you’re bound to pick up every time J.Crew has a sale! This gorgeous cocktail ring is definitely a catch, and it’s only $29.99. The ring features five flashy round and oval stones set in a vintage-looking dark gold brass casting. It’s versatile enough to go with your best date night outfit or a girls’ night out ensemble. Too pretty! - Nina
THREE. Mrs. Meyers Clean Dry Cranberry Scented Soy Candle — Mrs. Meyer’s makes some amazing products, and this one is no different. This candle smells just like cranberry – perfect for the holidays!!! It is incredibly fragrant and would be perfect to use for any holiday soirees you’re throwing. And at $6.99, you can afford to buy them in bulk! - Connie
FOUR. Converse One Star Oxfords — I love pairing these instantly recognizable sneakers, only $29.99 at Target, with a suit and embellished/printed tee for a funky, J.Crew-inspired look at the office. I also love wearing them with nude footies (to appear sockless), a sweatshirt and denim shorts for my weekly walks to the market. That’s the beauty of them — they’re so versatile! Since they’re available in red, black, white, navy, chocolate, purple, plaid, gingham, charcoal and more, it’s going to be hard to stick with just one shade, but for the purposes of Cheap & Chic, I recommend getting these gray ones. They’ll go with everything! - Charli
FIVE. Pioneer Linens Down Booties — At $50, these booties just make our cut off for Cheap & Chic, but they are definitely the most affordable luxury you can own during the winter and travel season. These booties- perfect for at home, in long car rides, apres ski, or on the airplane- are made with 200 thread count twill and filled with genuine goose down. They come with a luxurious travel pouch making it perfect to take with you anywhere you go- or affordable to give as a gift anyone would be excited to get. - Carolyn
