SponsoredSponsored Post: Bottega Verde

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bottega Verde. All opinions are 100% mine.

Honey is in– that’s the verdict that I’ve heard from all my sources- food critics, trend forecasters, and other influences.  So it’s fitting that when I was offered a set of  face and body products to try from Bottega Verde, Italy’s largest purveyor of cosmetic products, I gravitated towards their Honey set.  The brand, which originated in Tuscany in 1972 as a small herbalist shop, has just come stateside and US customers can now purchase through their new website BottegaVerde-USA.com. Today they have over 6 million customers and remain true to their roots of using natural active ingredients.

There are apparently countless cosmetic benefits of honey.  It absorbs and retains moisture so it’s ideal to use on chapped skin or to keep dry skin hydrated and radiant.  Honey also contains a lot of natural antioxidant and anti-microbial properties, which makes it ideal as a post sun treatment and helps the skin’s ability to rejuvenate.  In some traditional medicines, honey is even used as a treatment for acne! So it’s no surprise that Bottega Verde has an entire line of honey based products from facial scrub to hand cream.   Two of my favorite products in the set were

1.  Honey Face Toner – this toner combines honey with distilled Rose water to create the most amazing, light scent and gentle formula.  I don’t usually use toner but I do like this product because of how refreshed I feel after using it. Plus it makes me feel very clean but not stripped of moisture.

2. Propolis Lip Balm- a must have for this winter.  It’s super softening and nourishing against the changing climate without feeling waxy. Once again, love the fragrance which is soft and not overpowering.

If you’re curious to try this brand, Bottega Verde is now running a special offer where they will send you their 3 top products for only $4.99.  For more information, visit their website!
