Lately I’ve been missing Southern California like crazy (could it be because of the cold weather and our two fabulous LA editors, Charli and Stacey?) and have been gravitating towards items that remind me of it. Aviator Nation‘s clothing have a laidback beachy vibe that are right on the mark. (They remind me of the Venice area in LA!) Beyond vintage-inspired tees, tanks, bottoms, etc. for both men and women, they also offer hoodies and sweatshirts that are ideal for those of us who are fighting chilly weather.
Aiming for an authentic vintage look and feel, the designer Paige Mycoskie studied vintage fabrics – everything from the fibers to how they were made. This makes them super soft and comfortably worn, yet still retains a fresh modern look. Some of our favorites are the Unisex Sleeve Stripe Hoodie, which features a simple rainbow of stripes on the sleeves; we’d pair this over jeans now but when the weather slightly warms up, it would be thrown over a swimsuit so we could enjoy the beach as soon as possible.
