Be a Visionaire
I’d been reading so many fantastic reviews of the Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duos online that I absolutely had to try them for myself. Everyone seems to love them and now that I’ve gotten a chance to play around with them, I can definitely see why. They’re available in six different shade combination and I tested out two of them – Prism has a slate blue shimmer and a black with micro glitter, and Exhibition has a mauve shimmer and an eggplant shimmer.
Both shadow duos are absolutely stunning, but if I had to tell you to buy one, I would say to go for the Prism shade. The black glittery shade is just ridiculously pretty and it pairs perfectly with the slate blue for a dramatic eye that will be perfect for all your holiday parties or New Years Eve. The great thing about these shadows is how easily they blend and how pigmented they are – you only need to use the tiniest amount to see results, which is nice because the one drawback to the duos is that they’re definitely a splurge at $38 each. I know that’s expensive, but on the plus side, at least for your money, you’re getting a great, versatile shadow that you can use wet or dry. (Also, the packaging is one of the best I’ve ever come across for shadows. It has a 360 degree rotating mirror in the compact so you can actually easily use it when you’re applying the shades. We all know how rare that is…) If you’re looking to treat yourself to a fun holiday present, these are definitely worth checking out!
