I have a special place in my heart for Loeffler Randall as I’m a devotee to their shoes (I have a pair from their first collection and they remain one of my favorites!), so I was thrilled when CFDA-award winning Creative Director Jessie Randall agreed to do an “Insider’s Obsessions” feature with us. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Loeffler Randall launched their company with a focus on shoes in 2005 and in 2007, debuted ready-to-wear. Every piece is well-made, understated, elegant, and feminine with a bit of edge – modern and luxurious pieces that you can have in your closet for many years to come. Now onto what Jessie’s obsessing about this month…
ONE. Beautiful Baby Knits — With three beloved boys at home, including new baby Harry, I am always on a mission to find special, elegant clothing and accessories for boys. My favorite things lately include decadent boxes of socks from Bonpoint and these knit overalls from Mor Mor.
TWO. Loeffler Randall Rain Booties — I have been wearing my rubber rain booties all over town – in the rain and even in the sunshine. I love the idea of a rain boot that you would want to wear no matter the weather. These keep my feet cozy and dry and look cool too.
THREE. Kindle — I was reluctant at first but I get so much more reading done now that I can instantly download books.
FOUR. Wallpaper — I love to have special wallpaper in each room in my house. It adds such interest and character. I especially love foil papers that have a metallic sheen. This wallpaper pictured from Romo is the one I have in my bedroom. It is calm and soothing to me.
FIVE. Purl Soho — The most cozy, chic craft store ever. I get so inspired by the yarns, fabrics and notions at Purl and also the cool projects they have on their blog, the Purl Bee. My other dream job, besides designing shoes would be to have a craft blog of my own some day. (Editor’s Note: Loeffler Randall and Purl Soho are doing a holiday collaboration, pictured above.
