Hotels, Lust ListLust List: December 2010

ONE. 7 For All Mankind Georgia Trousers — I admit it, I’m obsessed with expensive jeans, but I managed to accumulate so many that I haven’t bought a pair in a fairly long time. And then I saw these online and I immediately wanted to change that. I love the classic trouser cut and the wash is versatile enough to dress up or down, depending on my mood. The unexpected front pockets are a fun touch and like all my 7 jeans, I’m sure they’re super comfortable. They’re not crazy expensive for a lust list item at $189, but they’re still more than I should spend on myself at the moment, considering I haven’t bought one single Christmas present yet. Maybe Santa’s reading this? (Hint, hint, Mom). – Stacey

TWO. Burberry Puffer Jacket — The weather in Chicago has been dipping into the subzeros, so I’m all about keeping warm in a nice winter jacket. However, it’s not always easy to look sleek in a puffy coat! That’s why I’m lusting after this Burberry puffer jacket this month. The dark shades and stand collar lend some utilitarian elements of style and it’s also down filled. That means I could actually look polished and put together yet amazingly warm at the same time. Now if only I could fit this one into my budget… – Nina

THREE. Nicola Yoon Moonstone & Garnet Double Strand Necklace — Nicola Yoon Design creates handmade, delicate pieces that are truly timeless finds making memorable gifts for that special someone (or yourself) who is hard to please. The Josephine Modern Vintage Collection embodies exactly that – an aesthetic that is both elegant yet refreshingly contemporary. This necklace from the collection combines the richness of garnet and the pale, multi-dimensioned shimmer of moonstone with 24 Karat Gold Vermeil into two beautifully handcrafted strands. This necklace brings just the right amount of semi-precious sparkle to any ensemble day or night! Available at for $292. – Liz

FOUR. Jeffrey Campbell Brit Boot — OK, I absolutely do not have any more shoe money in my budget this year. But that’s not going to stop me from lusting after these chunky, distressed leather boots from Jeffrey Campbell, available at Free People for $248. I love how they look open when worn … so rocker chic, and perfect for pairing with black leggings, skinny jeans or a frilly skirt. Judging by the consumer reviews, the style is such a big hit, it’s frequently out of stock, so if you want them, act fast! – Charli

FIVE. Bulgari Resort in Bali — Since it’s super cold right now in New York, it’s no surprise that a tropical vacation is at the top of my lust list. And where to go? Why Bali of course- the perfect combination of pristine beaches and breathtaking nature combined with sports, history and culture- made all the more luxe with the Bulgari Resort. Comprised of 59 villas, The Bulgari Resort in Bali is situated on a secluded ocean cliff and fuses Italian extravagance with Balinese flavor and design.  The resort also houses the only Bulgari store in Bali- certainly an upgrade from your usual hotel gift shop! And of course, the spa-  I was lucky enough to sample a taste at a press event in New York- and needless to say, I am now dying to experience the real deal.   – Carolyn
