Lust ListLust List: February 2011

ONE. Pottery Barn Andover Cabinet — If everything works out, I’ll be moving into a new place soon (cross your fingers!) And if I do, there’s definitely going to need to be some more furniture purchased. At the moment, I’m lusting after the Andover Cabinet from Pottery Barn. I love the layered red finish with the bronze and black accents, and I adore the way it’s made to look like it’s been handed down from generation to generation. Plus, I’d be able to store a ton of stuff inside and minimize the clutter in my living room. If anyone wants to get me a housewarming present, feel free to start here! – Stacey

TWO. Madame Mathilde Small Bright Pink Python Clutch — Can’t make it to the beach? Brighten up your dull, winter weekend with a bright and exotic clutch. Madame Mathilde Jewelry & Handbags instantly sweeps you away to paradise with their collection of envelope clutches under $500. All of the genuine python clutches are adorned with their own unique removable vintage brooch, creating a seamless transition from day to night. My pick this month is worth the splurge – the Small Bright Pink Python Clutch with Pink and Green Brooch for $395. – Liz

THREE. Corso Cuomo Delicious Pumps (in every color) — At $129, these pumps aren’t ridiculously priced, but after buying one pair, you might want to buy them in every shade. I initially got the nude pumps because they were the perfect shade to go with my skin — not too blush and not too tan. Then I started to notice all the other great things about them. They’re very comfortable; the insoles are padded with an extremely comfortable (we’ll call it “ergonomic”) lining. They’re stylish — not too high and not too low at about 3.5 inches, with a round toe that still shows a teeny but of toe cleavage. And they’re attractive — I’ve gotten tons of compliments, and I’ve already talked several people I know into buying them. (Something tells me I should stop yapping about them in case they sell out!) – Charli

FOUR. Anya Hindmarch Maxi Zip Satchel — I seriously covet Anya Hindmarch bags like crazy, and love this new style for spring. It’s made with gorgeous leather, and I like that it gives you the option of wearing it on shoulder or slung across the body. The size is great for gals like myself who like to have roomy styles to house whatever you might need – from magazines to wallet – and has lots of pockets to help you stay organized. It’s a bag that I would definitely have in my closet for years and years. Now, if it wasn’t for that pesky $1,100 price tag…it’d be mine! – Connie

FIVE. Smythson of Bond St Hibiscus Collection Laptop Case — I’ve been lusting after the Hibiscus collection from Smythson ever since I attended a press preview almost a year ago!  Trust me, even if you didn’t think orange was your color, you’ll still love how bright and playful the collection is- and it sets the perfect mood for the warmer months! This month I’m lusting after the 15″ laptop case- perfect for toting my MacBook Pro around in serious style. This is one laptop case that I won’t just be hastily throwing my bag either.  The cover features glossy croc-print leather, teal green satin lining and brushed gold slide closures inlaid with genuine shagreendefinitely a statement piece on its own. – Carolyn
