Bath & Body, Beauty, Fragrance, MakeupEditor’s Vanity: April 2011

ONE. Frederic Malle Lys Mediterranee — This fragrance is a complex floral, lasts all day and will probably forever remind me of Paris (where I first discovered it). I use it sparingly since a bottle is definitely not cheap… but I spritz it on whenever I want to feel special.

TWO. Serge Lutens Lipstick in Garde Rose — Don’t be fooled by the size – this little compact tube of lipstick packs a huge punch of color.  You can lightly apply it for a stain or impart a bigger impact if applied as normal. This color will totally wake up your face. When I use this, I keep my other makeup minimal – just add a bit of tinted moisturizer, eyeliner and mascara!

THREE. Cle de Peau Concealer in Ochre — This concealer is a must-have in my makeup bag. It’s the only concealer I’m truly devoted to and have used it for at least 5 years (since my initial discovery)! It covers the worst of skin sins – from dark circles to blemishes. Plus, this little stick lasts forever so it’s well worth the investment.

FOUR. Bobbi Brown Brightening Gentle Cream Cleanser — This cleanser is one that I recently tested and adored.  I tried it after testing another product that led my skin to break out, and this immediately turned it around. It’s very gentle on my skin, lathers up nicely and takes off all my makeup at the end of the day. As a bonus, it smells lightly of citrus (there are definitely hints of orange), but isn’t overpowering.

FIVE. Dove Visible Care Softening Creme Body Wash – This body wash has a great creamy texture and has a lovely scent. It rinses off without leaving any residue and without stripping skin of moisture. Plus, it totally softened my skin after only a week of use as promised…and that’s why I keep on using it!
