Never thought I’d say this … in fact, I’ve held out for several weeks. I’m still pinching myself. Kiehl‘s has done it again. Their new Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler, $39, is truly a scientific breakthrough. OK, OK, before I talk it up to the point of no return, I shall disclaim. For the first two weeks of using this product, I saw little to no change and lamented the fact that I had run out of my beloved Kahina Eye Cream. I still miss Kahina, but for now, I’m content watching the miracle that is Kiehl’s slowly unfold before my eyes. And now I’m upset that I haven’t taken before-and-after photos.
Last week, I was asked several times by people who see me almost daily whether I had done something different. This week, I was carded way more than usual. These could all be coincidences, but I’ll take them. (I’ll also credit my new favorite makeup tip with helping out: Slather on a sheer layer of tinted moisturizer, then go over your face with a sheer layer of mineral makeup and a touch of blush on each cheek, blending both profusely.) The combination of good skin care and flawless makeup can take at least 5 years off your face, I kid you not.
Anyway, back to Kiehl’s. If you apply the silicone-free, paraben-free and fragrance-free cream properly, patting it on gently over wrinkles and letting it dry, you’ll see instant filling results that last until you wash the product off. (I’ve been focusing on the wrinkles that pop up around my eyes when I smile, and the permanent creases on my forehead.) Over time, the fragmented hyaluronic acid in the formula allegedly produces more permanent results but I haven’t quite gotten to that part yet. In any case, bravo, Kiehl’s! What a fun product!
