Malorie Kaye is the founder of Cameo Public Relations, a full service public relations agency specializing the emerging accessories arena. Though her company has flourished from time spent perfecting the marriage between the deeply rooted personalized attention of in-house PR and the broad range of expertise of a full-service agency, it’s her personal style, charm and incredibly passionate energy that often woos the industry. In the center of the New York City’s fashion PR scene, Malorie finds that you can often work and play in the same fabulous spots – we couldn’t wait to share some of her current obsessions from chic spots to sky high heels.
ONE. Charlotte Olympia Platforms — I am and have always been a shoe girl – all shapes, sizes, colors, materials, prices…doesn’t matter, if it involves a heel and makes a statement I usually fall hard. At barely 5’1″ a good platform goes a long way and whether I’m in jeans, shorts, leggings or dresses, my shoes always express my bold style and I absolutely love sharp architectural elements. Charlotte just does it right, every time.
TWO. Inslee Custom Commissioned Notecards — I recently stumbled upon the incredibly stylish illustrations of Inslee Haynes on one of my daily blog reads and have been totally addicted to her work ever since. As a publicist I’m constantly trying to come up with cute ideas to brighten editors’ days – what better desk accessory then custom notecards complete with fashion editor & shelves of shoes? Not only does her gorgeous blog inspire with adorable interpretations of tastemakers like MK Olsen & Hanneli Mustaparta but I am pretty much all about custom, one-of-a-kind anything.
THREE. Miss Lanvin Porcelain Dolls — I’ve always dreamed of passing a doll collection on to a daughter, but not just any doll collection; the coolest, chicest doll collection in town. How could it possibly get any better than the limited edition, hand-painted porcelain collectibles from none other than Lanvin. Move over Barbie.
FOUR. Romero Britto Perfume — A bit harder to find than your average scent but well worth the hunt. Everyone – men, women, kids, even pups LOVE an intoxicating whiff of Britto, trust me.
FIVE. Afternoon Tea at Bergdorf Goodman — Once in a while every girl needs to take just a few minutes and treat herself to a soothing cup of tea at a quiet mirrored table where she can indulge in petit fours and catch up on British Vogue. Afternoon Tea at Bergdorf is my detox.
