Lust ListLust List: June 2011

ONE. Donna Karan Espadrille Wedge — Ask anyone who knows me – I am almost always in heels. But that sort of came back to bite me last month when klutzy me tripped while breaking in a new pair and fell and badly sprained my ankle. Besides the pain, I was forced to spend the past four weeks in the few flats I own until it got better. It’s been kind of eye opening – I actually got a little used to it, which I wasn’t expecting, but now that my ankle is back to normal, I’m beyond ready to buy some new heels. While looking online, I stumbled upon these Donna Karan espadrille wedges and I’m completely smitten. I love the contrast trim and the rope detail and the fact that they’d add inches to my height while still being more comfortable than “real” heels. Plus, they’ll match almost everything, which is always key. I might not be able to afford these at $580, but you can bet I’ll be searching for a more affordable version when I go shopping this weekend. – Stacey

TWO. Clare Vivier La Tropézienne — Ever since seeing my friend Laura‘s tote in person last year, this bag has been on my wishlist. It’s done in the luxurious glazed leather and always looks so chic. It’s the perfect size for toting around my everyday essentials, and would be a bag that you could have in your closet for years. At $320, it’s out of my reach at the moment…but a girl can save her pennies (or wish for a sale), right? – Connie

THREE. Restoration Hardware Spartan Day Bed — I’m ready to kick off the summer season but am far from having a fabulous deck to entertain on. Create a backyard oasis with Restoration Hardware’s Spartan Day Bed, the ideal place to lounge while keeping your face clear of the sun. Modern and elegantly sculptural, the all-weather wicker is made to last season after season and the comfortable bed cushion (sold separately) is will undoubtedly be irresistible to your guests.  Sold at on special for $6,295. – Liz

FOUR. Reed Krakoff Bleached Bridle Boxer I Tote — Not going to lie- I’ve jumped on the Reed Krakoff fan wagon. The creative director of Coach has launched his decidedly more sophisticated namesake line of handbags and ready to wear and I am obsessed.  Of course, I love a classic so topping my lust list is his Boxer Tote- the perfect structured bag for work, events and beyond.  The off white color looks great paired with neutrals for summer and contrasts against darker outfits for winter.  At just over $1000, the tote is still on my Lust List but this is an achievable one!  – Carolyn

FIVE. Jimmy Choo Bridal Collection — As a recently engaged woman, I’m still pretty overwhelmed in terms of planning. However, I have started to look here and there at various wedding looks… and I couldn’t help but fawn over the featured shoes in Jimmy Choo’s bridal collection. I think it’s just in the exquisite detailing–from vintage lace to Swarovski crystal detailing. They’re all so gorgeous and any bride would be lucky to wear a pair on her big day. Since I’m still working out my budget, I’m not quite sure these will fit. A bride-to-be can dream, though! – Nina
