Jake Stein is a young designer (only 21 years old!), entrepreneur and full time student. Born and raised in South Florida, attending Parsons New School for Design in Manhattan, living in Brooklyn, Stein spends his time nurturing his young company, boyNYC, and loving his tiny Chihuahua Teddy. Vegetarian, animal lover and fashionisto with an eye for the pretty things in life, Jake is young but does it right.
ONE. Phillip Lim Waxed Leather Biker Jacket — I’ve always been a sucker for a good leather jacket, a seasonless investment that would last forever. The mix of neutral tones in this beauty allows it to be worn with anything and makes it a real wardrobe staple.
TWO. Barneys New York — Not only do I consider shopping my therapy and my only form of cardio, but it’s also my job – knowing what’s out there, being inspired, checking out the competition and admiring others’ work. Department stores give me a type of nostalgia you just can’t buy and Barneys just happens to be the best.
THREE. Troop Beverly Hills — Even the most fabulous people can always use a night on the couch with a great 80’s feel good movie. TBH has always been a classic favorite and always will be.
FOUR. Christian Louboutin Spiked Rollerboy Loafers — Many of you know spikes go with me like Mary-Kate to Ashley, love them and these Louboutin loafers are of the best kind. The black leather loafers are classic and the tiny pyramid spikes add the perfect blend of edge, an easy way to make any outfit your own.
FIVE. boyNYC Parsel-Tongue-Chic Cuff — I love the sleek black gun metal finish against the ruby red eyes and giant fangs that enclose the metal around the wrist. Its a combination of rough & tough rocker chic and sexy glam god that never fails in my book.
