Accessories, Lust ListLust List: August 2011

ONE. Ippolita Modern Rock Candy 4-Stone Cluster Ring in Desert Sky — I saw this stunner at a fall preview event for Ippolita last week and it immediately went to the top of my lust list. Not only are the jewels gorgeous and perfect for the fall, but the design of the ring is so unique.  It’s a statement but still unobtrusive- in the sense that you can really wear it with any outfit, day or night.  Longtime readers know that rings are my favorite form of jewelery, so when I have my$2500 saved up, I’ll make the investment. For now, I’ll just have to lust after it. - Carolyn

TWO. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel — Even though it’s still scorching here in Los Angeles, I’m so ready for fall I can practically taste it. Coats, boots, sweaters… I want to wear them all! And nothing says fall to me more than a new bag, which is why I’m seriously lusting after this Pashli Satchel from 3.1 Phillip Lim. I love the wrinkled leather and the zippers in front, and its dark blue shade (officially called Ink) would make it stand out in my collection of black bags. It’s way too expensive to even think about buying, but I’ll definitely be trying to find a similar style in my price range the next time I go shopping. If anyone sees one, let me know! - Stacey

THREE. La Mer The Radiant Serum — Feeling like the summer sun took a serious toll on your skin? I can’t wait to get glowing with La Mer’s The Radiant Serum. Heavenly radiance bottled at $250 for 1 oz, well worth the investment in your one and only epidermis. This potent yet lightweight gel serum is to be applied morning and evening to see instant results with even more radiance over time. I’m already sold – bring on the radiance! - Liz

FOUR. Loeffler Randall Serena Platform Bootie – Love at first sight for me and these Serena platform booties at the Loeffler Randall showroom. Visiting for the fall preview, I saw them from across the room and was instantly drawn by its sturdy, yet sexy stacked heel. The stacked heel is practicality blended with sensuality and assurance that I won’t be plunging to my death if I try to wear these out on a briskly cold night (or day.) This shoe captured my heart even more when I found the cozy inside shearling lining and black and gray wool exterior, perfect for keeping my toes toasty in the most frigid of temperatures. Like most true loves at first sight, I haven’t seen it since my first glimpse (at the showroom) but can’t wait to head to the LF store to be reunited with my one true fall shoe love. - Kathleen

FIVE. Épice scarf — A friend of mine introduced me to Tomboy Style, an incredible blog for women that celebrates the joy of wearing men’s/menswear-like clothing. Since then, I’ve been dreaming of a trip to the Hamptons and this $165 scarf. It looks so cozy, I just want to wrap myself up in it while sipping a cup of hot cocoa … after prancing down the beach in white jeans and oxfords, of course. - Charli
