Beauty, Makeup, SkincareToo Busy for my Foundation?

This season we’ve seen a host of double duty foundations pop up across a number of prestige lines- leading us to believe that finally, cosmetics companies are paying attention to the needs of the busy urban professional.  I mean really- my morning priorities go like this: snooze, shower, moisturizer, coffee, wallet, keys, Metrocard. If I have some time left over- mascara and lipgloss.  For being a beauty blogger, I certainly don’t have too much time to spend on beauty in the mornings! So imagine my delight when I got my hands on the latest slew of skincare + color products- and they’re actually good!  Below, I share some of my favorite time saving foundations…

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation SPF 25:  OBSESSED with this! It’s a moisturizer, foundation and SPF in one and it lasts all. day. long. It’s super moisturizing so I don’t even have to put on a separate product and the thicker consistency is perfect for my skin during transition months. Plus this product just makes me glow and is so easy to apply that I don’t even need to use a mirror.  It’s foolproof! – $55

SK-II Facial Treatment Cream Foundation:  This product is perfect for people who are hardcore about their skincare. SK-II has always led the market in creating some of the most effective anti-aging products you can buy. Now, this foundation is created with their signature Pitera, so you can apply for color and enjoy all the anti-aging benefits found in SK-II’s traditional skincare line. The texture feels like their moisturizer and product quickly absorbs into skin for an easy, natural finish. – $95

Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45:  This product only comes in one shade- so it’s not for everyone. But if you happen to fall into the wide range of skincolor that this product does work for, I guarantee you’ll be obsessed.  Beauty balm- or BB Cream- originated in Asia where the ladies take their skincare very seriously. This multitasking product not only provides moisture and coverage- it’s also a treatment serum that works on blemishes, environmental pollutants, loss of firmness and elasticity.  The product contains brightening properties which instantly perfects the appearance of skin.  The formulation also comes in an oil free version, but I personally prefer the original. – $39

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus SPF 15 Foundation: You’re probably familiar with Clinique’s Laser Repairwear Serum which works to fight UV damage and wrinkles. Now the same properties are bottled into an SPF 15 foundation, to help smooth fine lines and protect against sun damage.  Unlike the other items I’ve talked about, this product is truly a liquid foundation.  Everything from the texture to the coverage to the application process is like traditional liquid makeup- making it perfect for days or nights when you need an uber polished, full coverage look.
