Pops of Color

Bright pops of color on the lips and liquid liners are both trends everyone’s talking about for fall, so of course, Urban Decay is right on target as usual.  The Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors are a mix of lipstick and gloss in a convenient pencil form that’s super easy to toss into your bag in the morning (and the barrels of the pencils are the same color as the glosses, so it’s easy to find the one you want in your makeup stash too).  The five colors are bold – these definitely aren’t for wallflowers – but they’re easy to apply and you can blot the color if you want it to be more subtle.  They’re moisturizing and shiny, and the sparkle in the sparkly shades is gorgeous.  I tried Fbomb (a bright red cream) and Crush (a hot pink) and I can already tell I’ll be wearing them a lot this fall.  I love the idea of wearing my favorite jeans and a neutral jacket and using these as the pop of color in my outfit.  I need to get my hands on Punch Drunk, a bright orange cream, so I can attempt bold coral lips at some point.  The fashion Gods command it!

Urban Decay also launched their new 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners for fall.  The eleven shades range in tone from subtle neutrals to bright pink, and they vary between matte colors and sparkle shades, so there’s something for every liquid liner fan here.  The brush on these is very fine, so if you’re good at it, you can get a really thin line on your eyes (I’m still practicing, but I’m getting better!)  The shades dry quickly and last forever, so they’re great when you’ve got a long day ahead of you.  My favorites are the trendier shades, just because they’re so fun to play around with.  Bobby Dazzle is a white silver with iridescent sparkle and it looks great with my green eyes.  I’m also loving Smog, a deep brown with golden shimmer & iridescent sparkle.  It’s sort of like a pumped up neutral that you can wear during the day or out at night.  The other shade that I’m coveting is Retrograde, a dark purple with purple sparkle.  So fun and trendy.  Well done, Urban Decay!
