Suzanne Somersall is the designer of Kirakira Jewelry, a collection of fashion jewelry. Inspired by her upbringing in New Orleans, as well as time spent abroad in Tuscany and Japan, Suzanne is influenced by their patterns, landscapes, and histories, transforming them into special wearable baubles – from oxidized cherry blossoms to pearl studded antlers. Each piece emphasizes elegant forms, feminine flourishes, and superb technique and styling. Find out more about Suzanne’s current obsessions below!
ONE. Eataly— If I want to whip up a quick dinner, I love stopping at the Grand Central Market or Mario Batali’s Eataly to get inspired. I can get lost inside Eataly, it is amazing!
TWO. Bumble & bumble salons — I’ve always loved Bumble & bumble products, so I was thrilled to learn there was a B&b salon here in the city. I love that you can order a cappuccino and biscotti or homemade hummus there too! It’s a pretty relaxing experience.
THREE. Kirakira Rose Gold jewelry — We are donating 20% of sales of our rose gold jewelry to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation through the holidays. It has been really fulfilling working with The BCRF on this charity initiative. Our partnership started in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – we got such a great reception we were delighted to continue fundraising. Everyone loves a great gift that gives back!
FOUR. Brian Atwood Maniac Pumps — While I mostly live in my Cole Haan loafers, when I want to get dressed up, I love my grey patent leather Brian Atwood heels. They make me almost as tall as my husband!
FIVE. Tudor City — I love to walk our Yorkie around Tudor City’s small park and gorgeous Gothic buildings, it’s pretty incredible that it has not changed much since it was first built in the 30’s!
