Fashion, Food, Lust ListLust List: November 2011

ONE. J.Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt — It’s hard to find a pencil skirt that fits just right, so I’d be remiss to let this one get away. Not only is the cut flattering, I get to buy a size smaller than my usual since the sizes tend to run big at J.Crew. After browsing all 20 rich color-fabric combos (can you say “mix-and-match heaven”?), I’ve narrowed down my favorites to pretty much every shade of the double-serge wool and vintage tweed varieties. So at an average of $120 a piece, that’s what, over $1,000? OK, maybe I’ll just get two … - Charli

TWO. Fornasetti Bacio Box — When it comes to home fragrance, you’ve got your average candle..and then you’ve got Fornasetti- little pieces of collectable art.  Fornasetti’s candles and incense come in just one scent- a somewhat masculine, wintery fragrance- but in a variety of ceramics showcasing some of the artist’s most famous works. Each candle jar or incense box is designed to do double duty, so once the candle burns out, the ceramic jar can be reused as decor around the house. I’m completely obsessed with the classic Fornasetti Red Lips  and am lusting after this wood and ceramic incense set, a perfect addition to any stylish home.   - Carolyn

THREE. White + Warren Leather Jacket — I must be the last girl who DOESN’T own a leather jacket…and there’s a reason. I’ve been searching for the perfect one that fits my relaxed style. Made from merino wool and leather trim, this version by White + Warren is a softer approach to the classic and it seems like it would be so easy to throw on and layer with. Sadly at $395 (and with holiday spending coming up!), this one has to stay on my Lust List… - Connie

FOUR. Pressed Juicery Delivery — Ever since I did the Ritual Cleanse a little while ago, I’ve been kind of obsessed with healthy juices. A friend recommended Pressed Juicery to me, so I eagerly stopped by their stand in Brentwood to check it out a few weeks ago. I almost wish I hadn’t because now I’m even more obsessed. Their Greens 2 drink, with kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon, is healthy and delicious, and I think the Strawberry, Apple Lime might be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. It’s so light, fruity and refreshing that I’ve sort of started thinking of it as liquid gold. The only problem is that this goodness doesn’t come cheap – at $6.50 a bottle, even though it’s a big bottle, they’re kind of hard to justify. (Especially when I’m dying to try about ten other flavors). So I’m lusting after someone to just magically sign me up for a constant supply of these delicious juices (delivery included, of course!) so I could consume them on a daily basis. Who wants to be my Fairy Godmother? - Stacey

FIVE. The New Traditionalists’ Bar Cart No. One — No living room, dining room or den is complete without a bar cart – especially around the holidays! Gather your friends and family for a festive cocktail party with The New Traditionalists’ Bar Cart No. One. Hand made in New England for that perfect mix of preppy meets country chic. At $1,550 it is an investment piece that will be perfect for many parties to come – cheers! - Liz
