This year’s holiday collections are my downfall because so far, I haven’t seen a single one that I don’t love. I’ve spent WAY too much money already picking up one more thing that I “need” and it’s not even December yet. This does not bode well for my Christmas present budget (sorry, family!) The latest collection to get my seal of approval is NARS’ Holiday 2011 collection. I got a chance to test out a few of the products and they’re all fabulous.
The G-Spot Multiple (love the name!) is a gorgeous rosy-gold shade that’s really versatile. I love the Multiples because you can toss one in your bag and basically create an entire look with it – eyes, cheeks, lips… it does it all. I would totally own them all if I could.
The Miss Liberty Highlighting Blush is a shimmering peach that’s soft, but the sparkles really show up on my fair skin. It’s sort of a cross between a blush and a highlighter and it looks good layered with other blushes as well. Just a fun, sparkly shade for the holiday.
NARS shadows are some of the best out there and the Mandchourie Duo Eyeshadow continues that trend. It’s two gorgeous dark blue shades – one a deep navy and one a sort of silvery blue. Love this pair! I’m all about smoky eyes at the holidays and this palette lets you create them with minimal effort.
Red lipstick is a must at the holidays and the Joyous Red shade is a really nice color with a semi-matte finish. It’s described as an “amber red” and I see a touch of coral in it as well. A girl can never have too many red lipsticks and I’m always looking to add to my wardrobe of them, so if you are too, check this one out.
I haven’t yet seen the Arabian Nights Trio Eyeshadow in person but from photos, I am seriously, seriously coveting it. It has three shadows – a black with gunmetal shimmer, black with purple pearls, and black with red pearls. The shades are so sparkly and glittery and just beg to be worn out on New Years Eve. This one must come home with me as soon as possible.
I really love the holidays…
