Editor’s Vanity: May 2012

ONE. Lancome Bienfait Aqua Vital Cream — As the weather gets warmer, I can’t get enough of lightweight moisturizers — and this one fits the bill perfectly. It’s moisturizing and dries quickly…and leaves your skin with a “fresh” feeling.

TWO. Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Runway Coral — This color was developed by Jenna Menard, Clinique’s Global Color Artist, for Karen Walker’s SS12 runway show…and it’s already selling out quick. I never really thought I could wear a coral lipstick – most are too bright, too orange or too pink. The color is perfection, and has a lovely creamy texture, too.

THREE. Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes — The first thing I noticed about this mascara is that it has a uniquely floral scent – so fun! As a fair warning, application with this wand takes some practice if you don’t want it to flake or clump — but it’s worth it since it leaves behind flirty lashes.

FOUR. Bobbi Brown Beach Fragrance — I am obsessed with this fragrance!!! The key notes are a mix of jasmine, mandarin and sea spray and makes me feel like I’m heading off to a tropical beach vacation in Capri (instead of the office). I can tell that I will be wearing this fragrance all summer long.

FIVE. Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm SPF25 — Beauty balms are the latest “it” product in moisturization, and this one made it into my daily routine. The texture is thick but absorbs very quickly and leaves skin dewy.  Just a little bit will go a long way, so this moisturizer will last a long time for its $90 price tag.
