The blooming of the Cherry Blossoms always makes me catch my breath, no matter how many times I’ve stood among the flutters of pink petals floating around like a cloud. There’s nothing like the sight of graceful branches hanging over still water and the sweet scent of new blossoms to make you tingle with excitement for warm spring weather. I’m not stranger to cherry blossoms living in Washington DC, but I can only imagine the blooms in the Provence region in the south of France, my favorite place in the entire world. L’Occitane’s Spring Cherry Eau de Toilette captures the magic and beauty with the breezy scent of spring and takes you to Luberon, a French town known for its culinary scene and physical beauty. Cherry trees dot the landscape in the spring among olive trees and summer lavender. The eau de toilette mingles the fresh floral scent of a Provençal cherry orchard with woody notes and a base of musk.

Mandarin and blackcurrant set the fruity tone of the perfume, with the floral cherry blossoms providing sweet undertones. The fragrance is young and pretty and just light enough to hint at spring. It’s such a refreshing contrast to the strong and heavy perfumes that got us through the long winter!  I love spritzing a bit in my hair so it swirls around me all day like a cheerful reminder of what’s outside even when I have to be indoors. If you love L’Occitane’s classic cherry blossom fragrance, this is a must-have in your collection, and it actually contains a cherry extract from the Luberon region of Provence- incroyable! Flirty and feminine, Spring Cherry is as fleeting as the blooms themselves- the limited edition won’t be around for long, so run to a L’Occitane boutique before spring is over!
