Halloween is the best holiday ever. Why? It’s the one time where it’s perfectly acceptable for adults to act like 8-year-olds. And I loved being 8. Of course, this year, Halloween is on a Thursday, and some of us are ill-prepared. So here’s a quick roundup of great Halloween makeup looks that can help you pull together something at the last minute, assuming you have all the goods or can get to a store near you. Just channel your inner 8-year-old and you’re all set!
Blushington’s Pinterest Board — The folks at Blushington makeup lounge have pulled together an inspiration board featuring multiple Halloween-friendly makeup looks. More gorgeous than ghoulish, they’re pretty easy to pull off if you’re good with makeup. (Otherwise, call up a friend who is or see if you can get an appointment with Blushington — it’s only $50, max!) Get the looks.
Michelle Phan’s Halloween Favorites — One of our favorite YouTube-born beauty gurus, Michelle Phan gets kittenish as she discusses her love of Green Tea Kit Kats, Pumpkin Spice Lattes and oh yeah, costume tips! Get the looks.
MAC Rick Baker — MAC Cosmetics teamed up with special effects makeup artist Rick Baker (Maleficent, Men in Black, Planet of the Apes) for a ghoulish Bride look, a very trendy Day of the Dead face and freakish Zombie makeup. Get the looks.

P.S. If you happen to be in West Hollywood and/or going to the famed Halloween Carnaval, see and be seen at Tortilla Republic‘s second annual Boo Ball, complete with modern Mexican Boo Bites (Shrimp Cakes, TR Sliders and Seared Albacore Tuna Bites), TR Witches Brew cocktails (featuring lychee “eyeballs”!), live music and a photo booth!
