If you’re looking for unique, artisan jewelry with an industrial twist this holiday season, look no further than Los Angeles native Jelena Nik’s collection, Nik Stone. I’ve been racking up compliments with her Nailed It Rings this season (pictured), which layer well for a delicate-yet-dangerous rocker vibe.
The unisex collection of sterling silver pieces are definitely eye-catching, featuring rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces themed around nails, wrenches, hammers and nuts. Embedded within each piece are small signature black diamonds, a symbol of strength.
Jelena got the inspiration for her first piece after seeing an old wrench that had been rotted down to resemble a bracelet. After her friends began requesting similar bracelets for themselves, she decided to launch her own line. She considers her latest collection an homage to her late father, a civil engineer with whom she used to fix things around the house and listen to The Rolling Stones — hence the name “Nik Stone.”
Nik Stone jewelry is hand crafted in Los Angeles and ranges between $105 and $995. You can find her pieces at NikStone.com and at select stores such as Traffic LA, located in the Beverly Center at 8500 Beverly Blvd.
