Concert violinist, entertainment lawyer, mother of twins, fine jewelry designer, our current girl crush–Jennie Kwon has worn many hats throughout her career as an artist and businesswoman. Before founding Jennie Kwon Designs, this LA-based jeweler spent years as a classical violinist, performing at prestigious arenas such as Carnegie Hall as Aspen Music Festival. Nearing the heights of her musical career, she walked away on an impulse to pursue something different and moved into corporate and entertainment law. After several years as an attorney, Jennie gave birth to her twin boy and girl. Their perfect innocence and beauty sparked a rebirth of creativity and from there Jennie Kwon Designs was born. She is known for delicate layering pieces–and we especially love her stackable rings. Find out what this talented designer is currently obsessing over–and how this busy new mom stays so chic.
ONE. Breville Compact Juice Extractor — I’m a firm believer in eating everything in moderation, including the occasional junky foods. I personally would be miserable completely depriving myself of anything. I do try to juice most mornings if I have the time to maintain that healthy balance and know that I’m doing something good for my body every day. This machine is small, affordable, easy to clean and does the job.
TWO. Lancome Ageless Minerale Skin-Transforming Mineral Powder Foundation — On a day to day basis and for most occasions, I really don’t like wearing much on my skin. I just don’t like the feel or look of it. This mineral foundation is super finely milled and really evens out my skin without having to put too much of it on.
THREE. Jennie Kown Designs Three Bezel Ring — This ring is super subtle and easy to wear (it doesn’t even feel like you have anything on), yet the sparkle of the diamonds definitely catches the eye and you’d be surprised at how strong and bend resistant these dainty things are.
FOUR. Klorane Dry Shampoo — Every since becoming a mom of two a few years, I’ve had to pare down my simple morning routine even more. This thing is a lifesaver: it absorbs oil, gives a bit of volume, and leaves a very light, unobtrusive scent in your hair for the days in between the hair washes.
FIVE. Coconut Oi — I’ve been obsessed with this for the past year or so and I’ve started using it on my tots. It’s awesome as a makeup remover, deep conditioner, nighttime moisturizer, body moisturizer, deep moisture mask… I just slather it on when my face is feeling dry and leave it on for 5 minutes and then dab it off.
