I always keep an ear out for nature’s secrets for staying young, so after hearing about Turmeric’s ability to detoxify, rejuvenate, and brighten the skin, I took a closer look. Turmeric is a variety of ginger which can stop the oxidation and aging of skin cells, allowing them to live in a healthier and rejuvenated condition. It’s been used since ancient times in the Indonesian culture as a beauty treatment for royalty and also to cure ailments inside and out. The Juara skincare line is based on natural herbs, plants and fruits with no preservatives, using natural ingredients to treat skin issues. Their Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Mask is a non-drying mud mask treatment that detoxifies, brightens and strengthens stressed, tired and dull skin, and I just can’t get enough of it. I have it on as I’m typing (multi-tasking at its best!), and the cooling tingle is positively addictive. The active botanicals are hard at work and the feeling is akin to endorphins after a workout, but for your face. The brightness and softness is immediately palpable following the treatment, and on the days I don’t use the mask, I’m counting down.
The Turmeric brightens and evens out the complexion, as well as provides antioxidant protection from free radicals that can damage the skin. The formula is good even for sensitive skin, and is fragrance-free and paraben-free.
After the tingling subsides, I wash off the mask with warm water and follow it with Juara’s Clove Flower and Turmeric Anti-Aging Serum. This gives it an extra dose of turmeric which works with clove flower, goji berry, and age-reversing Palm peptide which soaks in to prevent further damage while reversing aging. The serum isn’t greasy and absorbs fairly well, and after a minute I apply moisturizer on top to complete my mini-facial. The serum contains hyaluronic acid for hydrating, and helps to seal in the anti-aging ingredients leaving skin smooth. The serum contains no oil, fragrance, parabens, phthalates, or colorants.
