Beauty, Hair, SkincareGet Back Your Glow!

Anyone else feeling like winter has left them with dry, dull everything? From my dry, flaky skin to dull tresses, my whole beauty regime could use an extra dose of moisturization this spring. Raise your hand if you’re in the same camp as me.

While I usually up my game during the winter season with ultra moisturizing products, this year seems particularly worse and I’ve needed to find some new products to help fix this! To the rescue are…

For the skin, Dove Dry Oil Moisture Body Wash! The body wash is formulated with Moroccan Argan Oil, which is one of my favorite moisturizing ingredients. This body wash has little argan oil beads that scrub and presumably moisturize as you wash. It claims to leave “dry skin softer and smoothe after just one wash” and “takes a dual approach to healthy skin by maintaining and nourishing skin’s protective layer during cleansing.” While I’m not sure my skin was more moisturized after just one wash, I do think it’s helping maintain my skin stay softer and more moisturized over the past few weeks – especially if I remember to use body lotion right after the shower.

For the hair, the Kerastase Nutritive system has been amazing. My hair was a mess this summer. Dry scalp, dry ends – but my hair can still get oily really easily, so skipping washes really isn’t an option for me. It’s been ages since I’ve used Kerastase, and I’m not really sure why I stopped (aside from it definitely be on the luxe/splurgy end of haircare). It’s GOOD. I was very fortunate to treat myself to one of the Kerastase Boosters (the Nutrition one) during my last visit to the salon, and it totally revived my super dry hair and instantly restored some moisture. I wanted to maintain the sleek, glossy, smooth locks and have been using the Bain Satin, Lait Vital and Nectar Thermique ever since. The Bain Satin and Lait Vital (shampoo and conditioner) has kept my hair super soft and smooth; as a bonus, the scents smell like candy – which I love. (For those who are scent-adverse, this might not be for you.) Moreover, I’ve never been consistent about using a post-shower hair product, but Nectar Thermaque really makes a difference. Without it, my blow-dried hair can still feel dry and crunchy sometimes… With it, smooth and silky every time!
