Leila Lou
Leila Lou is a new-to-me fragrance line by celebrity makeup artist Rosie Jane Johnston (also the founder of Rosie Jane Cosmetics). The line offers four different products: Body Lotion, Perfume Oil, Candle and the newest addition, the Eau de Parfum. After trying the Eau de Parfum, I completely understood why this fragrance is quickly gaining a cult following.
Leila Lou’s signature scent contains the primary notes of pear blossom, fresh cut grass and tangerine. Fresh, sweet and fruity, the pear blossom is the first note that I detected and mellows out into a sweet, clean citrus as the day goes on. It reminded me of scents I’ve worn and loved when I was younger – but done in a much more sophisticated, complex fashion. (Side note: This is also a surprisingly sexy scent… my fiance couldn’t stop telling me how good I smelled whenever I used this!)
While many fragrances come across our desks, it’s rare for a perfume to make it onto my dresser for daily use. This is one that I immediately loved and will definitely be re-purchasing when I run out!
