Heart on Your Sleeve
Isn’t this heart charm bracelet the sweetest thing? Like wearing your heart literally on your sleeve! This is just one of the creations from AutumnKind, a jewelry line by LA-based designer Melissa Wessely. Melissa uses natural elements and stones for a fun, earthy feel to her pieces.
For all you Etsy fans, Melissa’s collection is sold there and there are so many cute, hand-crafted pieces to browse through. Some of my favorites include the pictured Classy bracelet, the Believe necklace, and the Absolute necklace. AutumnKind is offering free shipping for US customers until March 19th, so you’ve got plenty of time to find your own favorite!
Warm Up Your Assets
I recently moved to Northern California, and I can definitely say that it’s colder and less sunny than Los Angeles. That’s why I am so thankful that I have a nice stock of tights from Love Assets by Sara Blakely (a sister brand to Spanx).
I never really thought about textured tights but now don’t know how I lived without them! I tend to wear a lot of solid colors, and the Terrific Textured Tights add some interest and break up the monotony of the color blocks. My favorite print is the Basketweave, which is so pretty and fun, but still appropriate for the workplace. Better yet…these tights do slenderize and smooth in all the right places, without making you feel uncomfortable. I can’t get enough and until the weather truly warms up, you can bet I’ll be wearing these with my skirts and dresses.
Retails for $16. Available at Target.com and LoveAssets.com.
Sparkle & Charm

If you want a super cute, relatively inexpensive, and sparkly way to wear some personalized jewelry, check out Objets d’Envy’s Initial Necklace. It’s a delicate necklace featuring an initial charm, plus a sparkly crystal! For a girlfriend who has a birthday this month, you can gift her with her initial and an aquamarine crystal (the March birthstone) for a lovely, personal present. Or, you can simply covet one for yourself. The initial charm is hand-stamped and the necklace is entirely handcrafted in the Objets studio right here in Chicago.
Plus, it checks in at under $50, though for more, you have the option to add additional charms or crystals. For more of designer Kirsten Goede’s creations, visit objetsdenvy.com.
Sorel Hoonah

OK, this is a true story: before this year (when Sara wrote about her Torino Boots), I’ve never even HEARD of Sorel. But after seeing a couple of my fashionable friends rocking these totally cute, totally stylish yet warm and functional looking boots around the New York blizzards, I just had to know (and had to have) what they were. And this is how I learned about the brand that made all my winter dreams come true- Sorel, creators of a truly function marries fashion (and frankly, reasonably priced) line of waterproof boots that we’ve all been searching for.
Just browsing through the Women’s Section is enough to make me want to buy them all. If you are the “boots with the fur” type, the Joan of Arctic is one of the cutest styles I’ve come across in a long time. You can tuck it over jeans to showcase your style as you gleefully and carelessly step into every puddle on the streets. If you love a little color in your accessories, try the Tivoli which is a no hassle, urban style- and probably the only shoe that inspires me to want to wear some green and pink on my feet. (more…)

Bag It Up

With spring almost here, I’m definitely lusting after a new bag! Unfortunately, I can’t splurge on a gorgeous Prada…but J.Crew has some great new styles for spring that would be a great option.
The Parlour Hobo and the Grommet Parlour Hobo are both great basic picks that work for everyday. The leather is buttery soft and has a ton of pockets in the interior to keep you organized. I’m leaning more toward the grommet version because it makes it just a little bit different and edgy.
I also adore this Beacon Hobo, which is made from nubuck leather. It has a generous and classic hobo shape with a flap turnlock closure on top. Perfect for work, you can tote around work files and that pair of heels you want to slip on at work – all while looking sleek and pulled together. I also love that you can throw this on with jeans and flats on the weekend and look equally chic and relaxed. Which one is your favorite?
