Quick fix: Easy, beachy hair
Want sexy, beachy hair in seconds? Well, if you don’t live near a beach or don’t have the cash to spend on fantastic products like Bumble & Bumble’s Surf Spray, you can use this easy beauty formula.
Mix 1/2 cup of salt and 2 cups of water. Let the salt dissolve fully. (Tip: To make the salt dissolve faster, microwave and then let it cool.) Put the mixture into a spray bottle and mist into hair. Run your fingers through your locks and voila! Not only will you look like you’ve just come from the beach, but it will pump up the volume of your hair as it dries. Just remember to use a clarifying shampoo later.

Quick fix: Cooling off sunburns
I hope that everyone had a great Memorial Day! I took the day off and went to a BBQ while of course, many others headed to the beach. If you plan on spending time in the sun this summer, hopefully, you are applying sunscreen regularly! But if you get sunburnt, it will be a very uncomfortable few days. Here’s a quick tip that might help:
Try a cool milk compress to ease discomfort. Soak a soft cloth with cool whole milk and press lightly against skin. The fat content of the milk will help soothe the burn and can help facilitate the healing process!
Quick fix: Got green?
With weather warming up, we’re all going to be heading to the beach/pools to cool off. But pool chemicals and mineral deposits, in combination with saltwater and sunshine, can give your hair a greenish cast or turn your hair color brassy. I picked this trick up from my stylist that will help counter it! Try a club soda rinse after you get out of the water to get rid of chlorine and salt. Then follow with a deep conditioner containing jojoba oil or keratin which will help increase moisture, elasticity and shine.
Quick fix: Detanglers
If you have dry ends (especially if your hair is color treated), then your hair probably gets tangled easily, especially after a shower. I stole this trick from my fabulous stylist; she told me to buy a bottle of Infusium23 and a spray bottle. Put the leave-in conditioning treatment into the bottle and spray onto damp hair after you shower. Wait a minute or two, then comb through your hair. Voila! No more tangles!
